The Barn: A Premium Holiday Accommodation

The Barn at Tynrhyd Retreat is a historic building that has been meticulously renovated to create a premium holiday accommodation in Ceredigion, Wales.

Originally part of the Hafod Estate in the 1800s, the barn was derelict until it was taken over by our team.

With a focus on sustainability and renewable energy, we worked with Welsh Oak Frame and local suppliers to transform the barn into a stunning retreat for large groups, families, friends, and the corporate market.

The barn opened in July 2015 and has since won the LABC Building Award for Excellence. Its Visit Wales four-star grading is a testament to its high standard, while Cambrian House, another building on the estate, boasts a five-star grading.

Our guests love the character and charm of the barn, and many return time and again to enjoy its unique atmosphere and beautiful surroundings.

Come and experience the difference at The Barn, where history meets luxury.

We booked for 32 people (kids & a dog included) to have a week of celebrating birthdays and most importantly a wedding. We’ve all come away feeling full of love and great memories. I can’t recommend this place enough! It’s huge! Which is a bonus when you have so many people as they were able to have their own space when needed. The grounds are beautiful, the accommodation was clean and tidy. The beds were lovely and comfortable. I can’t thank Rebecca enough for her help when I needed it, nothing was too much trouble and she made us all feel so welcome. We were all so sad to leave! Thank you for creating a comfortable, homely place for everyone to enjoy. We can’t thank you enough. No one can be disappointed with Tynrhyd, it was perfect!

Chose Tynrhyd for a slightly different wedding experience. The place is stunning and has everything we could have wanted. The rooms are all a great size, kitchens equipped with everything you could ask for and the lounges extremely comfortable when it’s time to chill. The hot tubs aren’t bad either ( massive ). The on site manager Becky and her staff were just fantastic from start to finish. From the recommendations we were given to help plan the big day right through to the help during the event itself everything was brilliant. Becky’s input with catering , decor and a mobile bar really brought things together. I’d highly recommend this venue for a slightly different wedding or just a get together with family and friends. Thanks again for a wonderful time and hopefully be back in the future.

We booked Tynrhyd for a family/friends get away and our wedding! It was gorgeous. Rebecca, Gareth and the team were so helpful and supportive. Their recommendations for suppliers were also fantastic.
The venue is spacious and well equipped for large groups. Everyone had a lovely time and we made a lot of special memories.
We had a lot of children and a couple of dogs in our group who thoroughly enjoyed the venue and its open space. We’d definitely recommend Tynrhyd. Thank you again to the team!

Really excellent experience. Beautiful service, beautiful building, and beautiful surroundings. Fully recommended. The owners/staff went above and beyond to make our wedding a success.

They were always on hand checking if everything was okay.
They worked for hours without pay helping the catering staff.
They even gave us an extra night for free.

Book! You wont regret it.

Thank you so much for everything you did for us to make our wedding celebration at Tynrhyd perfect. All the little touches like the welcome champagne, the gazebo and answering my endless questions! So many people came up to me to say how fantastic the venue is and how they want to come back. The hall was also perfect for the disco for 60 people. We couldn’t have wished for more.
