Electric Mountain is a visitor centre in Llanberis. If you visit here you will come across a gift shop and a cafe, but it is also the starting point for the tour of Dinorwig Power Station. Dinorwig is a power station which has been constructed within Elidir Mountain. When the prospect of a power station being built was introduced many people were unhappy with the idea as a power station would ruin the views in Snowdonia. To avoid this they began investigating different sites where it could be constructed. They narrowed it down to three locations which were all in North Wales. They then decided that they would settle on it being constructed within Elidir Mountain. It has become an essential power supply for the whole of Britain.
