Tynrhyd Retreat Sponsors Athena!

Sioned Terry, performed at Tynrhyd Retreat’s official opening in 2015 with Welsh stars Rhys Meirion, Bryn Fon, Tara Bethan, Iolo Williams in an event to raise awareness of Organ Donation.

April Nature Spotting at Tynrhyd Retreat

We were delighted to welcome Harry Pepper of Ceredigion Birds and Wildlife to Tynrhyd Retreat yesterday!

Here are some of the birds he spotted - Swallow, Great Tit, Wren, Cuckoo, Robin, Carrion Crow, Magpie, Coal Tit, Blackbird, Goldfinch, Pheasant, Pied Wagtail, Dunnock, Wood pigeon, Blue Tit, Jackdaw, Chaffinch and Willow Warbler!

We are so excited that so many species can be found on our 13 acres! Thank you to Mr Pepper for sharing his expertise and time with us!

Winner of Y Bont Charity Raffle

We were delighted to host Joanna Mannley and her partner, the winners of Y Bont Charity Raffle. Lovely Joanna won our donated prize of luxury accommodation at Tynrhyd and a return steam train journey in the first class saloon of the Vale of Rheidol railway.

The Big Welsh Walk hosted at Tynrhyd

We are delighted to host the Big Welsh Walk Challenge at Tynrhyd on Saturday 2 June!

Hosting Ben Lake MP

We were delighted to welcome Ben Lake MP to Tynrhyd Retreat. We had a constructive chat over tea and cake and covered issues such as the challenges faced by rural businesses including the difficulty in achieving broadband connectivity for remote areas. The importance of effective internet speeds and access to small rural business, its affect on health and well being and environmental impact.

Roughing It For Our Heroes

The whole family was honoured to host Steve, a brave RAF veteran, during his mammoth 1,400-mile walk through Wales and England. His aim is to raise awareness of the issues of mental health, alcohol and homeless veterans.

Pale Buzzard visits Tynrhyd

We were very excited to be visited by this rare pale buzzard - this great action picture was taken by 10 year old Alaw!

"Cwm Rheidol in particular is noted for its unusually white birds...Congratulations to Alaw for her photographs.  It isn’t easy to take birds in flight, particularly birds of prey."

Y Bont Charity Donation

We were delighted to support Y Bont charity, by donating a weekend for two at Tynrhyd Retreat, for their Christmas Raffle.

Y Bont, a very worthy cause, provides a range of services that support disabled children and their families based in Bridgend, Wales. It provides a life-line for families and are able to accommodate children with complex medical needs, Autism, ADHD as well as those who are awaiting diagnosis.
