Shopping in Ceredigion is a delight. Sleepy market towns bustle with independent shops, quirky craft makers are found down remote tracks, markets sell delicious local produce. Hunt for bargains in antique shops, discover award winning artisan gin. Browse, taste, treat yourself and take home a hoard of delights.

Aberystwyth Farmers Market

Only 10 miles from Tynrhyd, this year-round market features local home grown and made produce. Find goodies including jam, gluten free pasta, flowers, hot street food, cheese, artisan bakers, chocolate - load up your treasures and head back to Tynrhyd for your feast! Held every 1st and 3rd Saturday.  

Jane Beck Blankets

Set in a 1930's style zinc store with Art Deco details, browse and shop the World's biggest collection of new and vintage Welsh blankets. Beautiful throws, blankets, cushions, door stops, iPad covers; something for all tastes and budgets. Based in Tregaron. 

Dyfi Distillery Artisan Gin

Dyfi Distillery's Pollination Gin, Winner of the Great British Food Awards 2017, is divinely delicious. This family run business uses botanicals foraged from the Dyfi Biosphere. Like Kate Humble, visit Dyfi Distillery in Machynlleth and treat yourself - Chin Gin!  

Corris Craft Centre

9 workshops and craft makers including Dyfi Distillery, glass blowers, candle makers, toy shop, jeweller and chocolate shop. Free parking, café and Welsh food and drink shop. 25 minutes from Tynrhyd Retreat.

Aberystwyth

Bustling University town has a wide range of independent shops and major superstores including M&S, 10 miles from Tynrhyd.

Aberaeron

A Georgian fishing village with elegant jewel coloured buildings, 40 minutes along the coast road from Tynrhyd. Good selection of cafes, restaurants and independent shops.
